I had another horrendous Sunday night, last Sunday. Typically I always have trouble getting to sleep on a Sunday night but my wife and I had a very active Sunday.
She and I went to sleep a little early. Once again, we had dinner early (I made Stuffed Shells and a Quiche) and we were hungry but I didn't chomp her hand. We brought the husky to the vet in the morning for a couple of vaccinations. They always make his stomach queasy. We also went food shopping for the first time in five weeks so the bill was like $370.
After I passed out, my wife tried in vain to wake me up at like 3am because her sugar crashed and she needed an egg (protein). Stupid hypoglycemia. I have no recollection of this because she gave up and went downstairs to make it herself.
Then, at 4am, I awoke to the sounds of the husky puking off the side of his bed. It looked like that fake puke you buy at a novelty store minus the half a sandwich gag. My wife yelled at me and asked me how the sound of a dog throwing up could wake me up and she couldn't even while kicking and pushing me out of bed. I had no answer and this is inexplicable to me. I cleaned it with bleach and we all managed to get back to bed.
Then at 5am, my phone started ringing. I almost smashed it but instead "ignored" the call because I saw the phone number was from Chase. The bank called me when the over $300 debit cleared the bank; even though I have it setup not to call me before 7am. I tried to go back to sleep. Then they called back, WTF! This time I picked up the phone and didn't hear anything so I hung up and shut it off.
The new little dog always gets restless in the morning a couple of minutes before the alarm clock rings so he started whining at like 6:51am. For some reason this drives me nuts; I value those few minutes of sleep before the alarm. Alas, nature's alarm clock truly has no regard for a Human's need to "work." My other dog used to do this and even started lapping at a quarter to. Thankfully, she grew out of it and now sleeps just as long as we do.
I blinked and the alarm clock went off only for me to wake up to the realization that the dog had peed on the floor. I can't wait until he is as good as my other dog with the daily routines.
