Memorial Day Karma

Through the years, it has become apparent to me that karma does not work in my favor.. ever. Here is the latest example.

The scene was the sidewalk outside of the 7-11 near my house at about 2pm on Memorial Day. I was walking my dog up and down the block while my wife was in 7-11 looking for sunscreen. For some reason, they didn't carry sunscreen. Oh well. As we were leaving, I noticed a key on the ground. Looking closer, I saw it fell off a larger bunch of keys that were next to it. They weren't there two minutes earlier so the owner of the keys must've been close.

Looking down the block I saw two older ladies walking obliviously while talking to each other. They weren't far so we caught up and asked them if the keys belonged to them. One woman was like "OH EMM GEE, MY KEYS! ELL OH ELL THEY FELL OUT OF MY BAG! THANK YOU!" I told my wife "that was my good deed for the month."

Later in the day, we went to her mother's house to say hello and, while waiting outside, a bird shat on my sun-burnt head. No, it wasn't soothing. I must've done something very bad in a former life.
